When asked if he had any comments about what is being posted on Twitter, Goodman said "I don't know anything about it".
ABC canceled the hit comedy series after Barr went on a racist Twitter rant, where made offensive comments toward Valerie Jarrett. They divorced in 1994 after Barr fired him. Earlier Wednesday, she attempted to explain that, "I'm not a racist, just an idiot who made a bad joke".
"While all pharmaceutical treatments have side effects, racism is not a known side effect of any Sanofi medication", tweeted the French pharmaceutical giant in an acerbic post that quickly went viral.
"Roseanne has said herself that she does not want what she says to overshadow the show in any way, and I do hope that she will continue to be thoughtful about what she shares on social media going forward", ABC Entertainment President Channing Dungey said in the same article. "It was 2 in the morning and I was ambien tweeting", she said in one, and added that she had "done weird stuff while on ambien-cracked eggs on the wall at 2am etc -" in another.
Arnold, who was a writer and sometimes actor on the original "Roseanne" TV show in the 1980s and 1990s, was married to the comic actress for four tumultuous years. In response to tweets calling out Gilbert and Emma Kenney, who plays Barr's granddaughter, Barr wrote, "i feel bad for @POTUS-he goes thru this every single day".
Trump had previously called Barr, a vocal supporter of his both fictionally and in real life, to personally congratulate her on her ratings success after the March premiere of the Roseanne revival. "Look at her ratings", Trump said during a March speech in OH focused on infrastructure.
Barr compared Jarrett to "Planet of the Apes" and the Muslim Brotherhood, then claimed she was just joking.
One message she re-tweeted on Wednesday falsely accused the Hungary-born Jewish billionaire of collaborating with the Nazis.
Barr also continued to tweet about George Soros, a liberal donor who has been painted as the villain in many right-wing conspiracy theories.
Barr also said her firing "worked out" because she "would leave when they started to try to censor me". However, Trump did not address the substance of what Barr tweeted or ABC's decision to pull the plug on "Roseanne". A way to keep the cast and crew together in some way?
