Warning: This edition of Nerdist News contains spoilers for Avengers: Infinity War, so if you still haven't seen it go right now and then come back here to learn which character might have done the impossible. A lot of people suggested him to watch all the films in Marvel Cinematic Universe to understand Infinity War.
As of Wednesday, Infinity War has grossed $1.251 billion, with $479 million made in the USA and $772 million in global markets. We were anticipating a little more out of this title, but it still managed to outperform the studio's expectations and almost triple its reported $6 million budget in its first three days of release. This was on top of the $9.3 million the film made during previews Thursday night.
But in a respectable third place was Universal's "Breaking In".
An unprecedented cinematic journey ten years in the making and spanning the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios' Avengers: Infinity War brings to the screen the ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time. The mega Marvel mashup continues its iconic run by becoming the second fastest film to reach $500 million at the domestic box office.
Not bad for just three weekends.
The follow-up, Deadpool 2, is due to be released in the United Kingdom on 16 May. Additional releases include Paramount's Book Club into ~2,500 theaters; Global Road's animated release Show Dogs into approximately 3,000 theaters; and Focus will debut their documentary Pope Francis - A Man of His Word into ~350 theaters.
Fortnite Battle Royale players now have the opportunity to grab another set of exclusive Twitch Prime loot to customize their Fortnite experience with, and we have all the information you need in order to do so.
