Georgia Tech basketball coach Josh Pastner has had a sexual assault lawsuit filed against him, according to KOLD-TV in Arizona. Jennifer Pendley has filed the lawsuit and detailed the accusations against Pastner. 11Alive normally does not name sexual assault victims, but is doing so because Pendley and Bell have chosen to make the case public.
Last month Pastner filed a civil lawsuit against a couple for defamation, extortion and fraud.
In a statement, Pastner's attorney Scott Tompsett called the latest suit "false and malicious" and says his client never acted improperly with Pendley.
Despite Pendley's cries of "no" and attempts to resist, according to the suit, Pastner tried to force her head town to his penis before ejaculating on her shirt. Pendley has not reported the allegations to police, but said Thursday that she is considering filing charges.
As part of the lawsuit, it was revealed Bell had also told NCAA investigators of the alleged sexual assault in December 2017.
The lawsuit said Pendley did not tell Bell about the incident, but alleges Pastner continued to harass the woman nearly a dozen more times between February 14 and March 3. The statement goes on to highlight Bell's alleged criminal past and "long history of dishonest and antisocial behavior".
Here is the full statement from Pastner's lawyer on the situation. It claims Pastner sexually assaulted Pendley and threatened her, if she were to tell anyone about what happened. "Upon learning of the allegations, I immediately informed law enforcement and officials at Georgia Tech".
An Arizona couple has filed a lawsuit against the head coach of Georgia Tech's men's basketball coach, alleging the coach sexually harassed the woman more than a dozen times in 2016.
