Police say they are investigating reports of an active shooter at New Hampshire's largest hospital.
Police have told people in the area to avoid the hospital.
Following reports of an active shooter, the hospital went into lockdown mode, according to a Dartmouth-Hitchcock statement. Several social media reports indicate one person has been shot. WMUR, a local TV station, though, reports there has been "no confirmation of shooting".

A spokesman for the hospital, Mike Barwell, would say only that they have reported "an incident" to police and that officers are responding. There is now no confirmation that any shots were fired during the incident, though employees were told to either evacuate or shelter in place. The federal bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms and Vermont state police assisted New Hampshire and local police.
The New Hampshire Attorney General's office said they were investigating.
Heavily-armed police forces are on the scene at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
